Whoa

At first blush, the idea of Pierce and Allen being considered one of the 2 or 3 best offensive tandems in the league seemed laughable. Then I looked at their stats and had no idea Ray Allen played as well as he did (26 ppg).

I thought to myself: "Self, this may work out after all for the C's."

Then I noticed that Rashard Lewis average 22 ppg (only 3 less than Pierce) and then I realized its not getting any better for the Celts. The two things that help them out are 1) playing in the East and 2) Al Jefferson is better than anyone the Sonics had down low. Probably enough to get them into the playoffs. Probably not enough to get them past the first round. Its been so crappy for the Celts lately...maybe thats good enough.
